Knitting Classes
Socialising, making new friends and finding your ‘tribe’ are important aspects of joining any community. The same is true of The Knitting Class.
I believe in bringing knitters who are at different stages of their knitting journey, together .While students are having individual attention , the rest of the class are engaged in making new friends and sharing their knitting (and other) stories. This mix makes for a lively interactive class in which newer knitters benefit from seeing where they can go on their knitting journey. Inspired by their fellow knitters, newbies move from first picking up needles to trying more complicated things like cables much more quickly than they would otherwise have done.
Terms run for six weeks with classes running 1 1/2 hours each week. During that time we share progress on our projects with each other and I give individual attention to students teaching techniques, explaining knitting terms or resolving problems in patterns.
Face to face classes take place at venues in Dunlaoghaire Rathdown area of Dublin, on Monday evening, Tuesday morning and afternoon and Saturday morning.
For those who cannot attend in person there is also a ‘live’ knitting class by ZOOM on Wednesday .
To ensure individual attention, class size is limited to 8 students per class , so please book early to avoid disappointment!

testimonials....... see what real students say about Pauline's classes
I was apprehensive about the first Zoom Knitting Class as it was new and different but Pauline Gallagher, as well as being a creative designer and skilled teacher, is also now, we realise, a very competent Zoom expert and I soon found that my fears were completely unfounded.
Prior to the class Pauline issued detailed and clear instructions, firstly how to access the class and then what to expect during the time we spent with her. The atmosphere was just as I had experienced in the real world and the class was extremely informative and fun.
As in the real world classes, the work of one participant in the class, who is making a Log Cabin rug, prompted Pauline to explain how this wonderful project can be made using up left over skeins and balls of yarn. Pauline promised to circulate written instructions and details of some of the techniques used. From experience these will arrive promptly and will be clear and helpful.
Those who attend Pauline’s classes have a range of expertise and could be beginners, those with some knowledge or advanced knitters and so as well as learning from Pauline we also learn from each other as we share ideas. I came away from this online class, happy to have made contact with other knitters again, feeling relaxed yet quite invigorated and very much looking forward to zoom class next week.
